A Word Against Fear

A Word Against Fear

I was journaling a few years ago and I felt the Lord wanted me to write down the things he was speaking to my heart. This is what I heard. I keep having to come back to re-read this because he is still teaching me to keep my eyes on him. It’s so easy to become distracted by what does not matter or to get sidetracked by fear. Let us learn to focus on God and his promises at all times and through all circumstances. He is faithful.

Look to me in all things. Do not look away. This is the mistake of my people: they look at the waves. They become distracted by what does not matter. I matter. I am your provider. Keep your eyes on me and not on the waves. Be intentional. Be fearless. This can only happen when you’re looking at me. That is how Jesus could sleep on the boat (during the storm). His eyes were always on me. He saw things for what they really were. The enemy counts on people looking at the waves. That is all he has. Give him nothing and things that seem impossible to others won’t seem so hard. Look at me. Keep me in the midst of your heart. I bring peace.

The Father
